Giving Trees

The first-ever Giving Tree program to support the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City showed that there truly is strength in numbers!

Miniature holiday trees were on display in 45 McDonald's restaurants in the Quad Cities area from Nov. 27 to Dec. 15, 2013. Community members were invited to purchase items listed on the paper ornaments that hung from the trees. The supplies were then donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City.

We've crunched the numbers and are excited to report that all the in-kind donations were valued at more than $2,100! Included were paper goods (plates, napkins, towels), cleaning supplies, gift cards and stamps.

From staff and the families these items will help, thank you to all who participated in the program! Didn't get a chance to donate? Donations of Wish List items are always gladly accepted at the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City, 730 Hawkins Drive, Iowa City, IA.
