The Season of Giving
Since 1985, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois has provided support and comfortable accommodations to more than 70,000 families seeking medical treatment for a critically ill child. Rain or shine, we open our door to these families 24/7, 7 days a week, 365 days a year—including the holiday season.
As the holidays approach, it is more important than ever to keep families close to the support and care they need. There are a number of ways you can help us make their stay during the holidays more enjoyable, and help them feel at home:

This full-color cookbook includes more than 250 recipes and dozens of decorating ideas. To purchase the Christmas Cookbook, visit your local Dillard’s store.
Sponsor A Family
Give a gift that gives back: Sponsor A Family in someone’s memory or honor. Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House are asked to contribute a small donation per night for their stay. However, nearly 70% of our families are unable to pay due to mounting medical bills and other uninsured expenses. You can help by sponsoring a family’s stay, or a portion of their stay. Donations of all sizes support our mission.
It costs RMHC-EIWI $75 per night to support one family. With 31 families a night at the Ronald McDonald House, that means every day it costs $2,325 to keep these families together when their child needs medical care. This is done through donations from generous people like you as there is no financial obligation from the families who use our services.
