Each family that passes through our doors has a different story to tell. But each also shares a common bond – a sick child. That bond creates ties that connect families across time and distance. Our Alumni Family is the foundation on which our House stands strong, and we would love for you to stay in touch as a cherished member! There are several ways you can do this, all depending on your comfort level.

We are always looking for families willing to share their story. It provides our supporters a personalized window into what we do and it provides future alumni families comfort and support knowing they are not alone.

Make the Alumni Family Reunion an annual tradition

The first Sunday of May each year we host a  picnic for all Alumni families. It is the same day as the Red Shoe Run – so you can make a day of it. Whether you participate in the run or not, you are welcome to come back, enjoy some yummy food in the back yard, reconnect with staff and families, and maybe make some new friends. It is a family friendly event that is free to all Alumni Families.

As you know, our services are offered free of charge to all families. We can do this because of our generous donors. One of our largest donor bases is Alumni Families that, when financially able, choose to support RMHC-EIWI. Whether sponsoring a family stay, becoming a sustaining donor, adding us to legacy planning, our Alumni Families – and their friends and families – give back by paying it forward.
