What We Do

When a child is seriously ill or injured, many families must travel far from home to get the specialized treatment their child needs. Sometimes the treatment lasts a day or two, other times it may be weeks, months, or more—that’s a long time to be away from your home, your job, and your family.

The Ronald McDonald House of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois serves these families by providing the comfort and amenities they need while their child recovers. Whether they are staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City, or one of our Ronald McDonalds Family Rooms at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s in Cedar Rapids or the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, we keep families together when their child needs medical care.
