The House’s common areas include living room areas, quiet spaces, a game room, and a playroom as well as an outdoor playground, playhouse, and relaxing deck.

Families wishing to stay at the Ronald McDonald House should call 319-500-RMHC to place their name on the Request to Stay list. The Ronald McDonald House does not accept reservations, as families are often not sure when their check-out date will be due to unpredictable medical situations. Instead, families are provided a room based on daily availability. Ronald McDonald House staff will do their best to place your family into a room on the night you request.

If your family is not able to get a room at the Ronald McDonald House, staff can assist you with a discounted hotel rate. The rate your family would be responsible for is typically between $50 – $75 plus tax each night.
