The House’s common areas include a library, TV, fireplace, game room and toy room as well as an outdoor playground.
Families wishing to stay at the Ronald McDonald House should call 319-356-3939 to place their name on the Request to Stay list. The Ronald McDonald House does not accept reservations, as families are often not sure when their check-out date will be due to unpredictable medical situations. Instead, families are provided a room based on daily availability. Ronald McDonald House staff will do their best to place your family into a room on the night you request.
If your family is not able to get a room at the Ronald McDonald House, staff can work with area hotels to provide your family with a voucher to stay at a nearby hotel. The rate your family would be responsible for is typically between $50 – $75 plus tax each night.
No family is ever turned away due to an inability to pay for their stay.
